Moroccan star celebrates with mother in the stands after team's victory

On Tuesday (June 30) at 7:00 AM Bangladesh time, in the Round of 32 match of the World Cup, Morocco defeated the Netherlands 3-2 in a penalty shootout to advance past the last 16 and secure a spot in the quarter-finals. After regulation and extra time ended in a 1-1 draw, the result was decided by a penalty shootout.

The Netherlands took the lead in the 72nd minute through a goal from Cody Gakpo. However, Morocco equalized in the first minute of stoppage time with a brilliant header from Issa Diop.
