Moroccan star celebrates with mother in the stands after team's victory

After regulation and extra time ended in a 1-1 draw, the result was decided by a penalty shootout.

The Netherlands took the lead in the 72nd minute through a goal from Cody Gakpo. However, Morocco equalized in the first minute of stoppage time with a brilliant header from Issa Diop.

After the goal, the 25-year-old midfielder celebrated by taking off his new jersey. He then went to the stands and embraced his mother. His mother was overwhelmed with emotion at her son's heroic performance. That emotional scene instantly touched the hearts of the spectators.

Ismail Saibari is in excellent form in the ongoing World Cup. He scored against Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti in the group stage, setting a new record for the most goals by a Moroccan player in a single tournament. He maintained his consistency against the Netherlands as well, making a crucial contribution to the team's victory.

Morocco, which played in the World Cup semi-finals four years ago, is dreaming big again this time. In the fight to reach the quarter-finals, Morocco will face co-host Canada next Saturday in Houston.
