BNP Media Cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter, stating that state ceremonies will be held in Tehran, Qom, and Mashhad from July 4 to 9 in memory of the late leader. Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed will participate in those ceremonies as a representative of the Bangladesh government and Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

It has been learned that parliament members will also travel to Iran on their own initiative to attend the funeral. It is noteworthy that Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in an airstrike by US and Israeli forces in late February.

Iranian authorities have said that an estimated 20 million people are expected to attend this funeral and burial ceremony. This information emerged in a report by Al Jazeera. The formalities will begin in Tehran and Qom on July 4, and quoting unnamed officials, the Mehr News Agency reported that Khamenei's burial will take place on July 9 in his birthplace, the northeastern city of Mashhad.
