Gold and silver prices rise again in the domestic market, 22-carat per bhori now Tk 2.24 lakh

The decision was taken at a meeting of BAJUS's Standing Committee on Pricing and Price Monitoring Committee. Later, a new price list was published in a notice signed by the committee chairman, Dr. Dewan Aminul Islam Shaheen.

According to the new prices, including VAT, the price of 22-carat gold jewelry per bhori has been increased by Tk 2,216 to Tk 2,24,182.

Earlier, on June 30, BAJUS had reduced the prices of all types of gold. At that time, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was reduced by Tk 3,324 to Tk 2,21,966.

Along with gold, BAJUS has also set new prices for silver jewelry. According to the new rates, including VAT—

  • 22-carat silver: Tk 4,782 per bhori
  • 21-carat silver: Tk 4,549 per bhori
  • 18-carat silver: Tk 3,907 per bhori
  • Traditional method silver: Tk 2,974 per bhori

So far this year, gold prices have been adjusted 85 times in the domestic market. Of these, prices have increased 42 times and decreased 43 times. In contrast, in 2025, gold prices were revised a total of 93 times, with 64 increases and 29 decreases.

Notably, on January 29 of this year, gold reached its highest price in the country's history. On that day, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori was increased by Tk 16,213 to Tk 2,86,001.
