China does not support any interference in Bangladesh's internal affairs

He made these remarks at a press conference organized on Thursday (July 2) afternoon.

Ambassador Yao Wen said that there has been no change in China's commitment to the Teesta project. China will continue to cooperate with Bangladesh in this project according to its capacity.

He further said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's recent visit to China was highly successful. Through this visit, strategic cooperation and mutual relations between Bangladesh and China have been further strengthened. China's support for various development initiatives, including the Teesta project, will continue in the future.

Yao Wen also informed that both countries are working on enhancing regional connectivity and economic cooperation. He said that expanding direct connectivity between China and Bangladesh and the development of the China-Myanmar-Bangladesh Economic Corridor are being considered with importance.

According to the Ambassador, strengthening regional connectivity will create new opportunities for trade, investment, and economic cooperation, which will play a positive role for both countries.
