Japanese startup Sakana AI recently unveiled a new AI model named 'Fugu'. The company claims that in terms of capability, it can compete with Anthropic's advanced models.
Asia is advancing in the AI race
Sakana AI said that Fugu is capable of operating multiple AI systems simultaneously. As a result, users will be able to use various AI technologies in an integrated manner without relying on a specific model.
According to the company, this model was developed considering the needs of Japanese government and commercial institutions. However, it is not an alternative to Anthropic, but has been developed as part of independent technological capability.

On the other hand, Chinese cybersecurity company 360 has unveiled two new AI tools. Among them, 'Tulongfeng' is capable of identifying software vulnerabilities, while 'Yitianzhen' has been created to strengthen cybersecurity management. The company claims these technologies will play a crucial role in ensuring advanced cyber protection.
Meanwhile, after the US imposed restrictions on Anthropic's advanced AI models, discussions have begun worldwide. According to experts, excessive reliance on one country's technology could create risks in the future. Therefore, many countries are now focusing on developing their own AI technologies, and Asian tech companies are trying to capitalize on this opportunity.
However, analysts say that US AI technology still holds an important position in the global market. The current situation only indicates that competition in the artificial intelligence market will intensify further in the coming days.
