Commemorative stamp unveiled on National Rural Development Day
Prime Minister Tarek Rahman inaugurated a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of National Rural Development Day-2026, with the theme 'Developed Village, Prosperous Country—Bangladesh First'.

On Sunday (July 5) at 9:30 AM, at an event held at the Prime Minister's Office in the Secretariat, he unveiled a commemorative postage stamp of Tk 10, a first-day cover, and a data card packet of Tk 5.

Present at the event were Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Deputy Minister Mir Shah Alam, and Ministry Secretary Md. Shahidul Hasan.

Every year on July 6, on the occasion of National Rural Development Day, the Bangladesh Post Office issues special commemorative postage stamps, first-day covers, and data cards. Through this initiative, recognition is given to contributions to rural development in the country, and the importance of the day is highlighted to the public.
