On Monday (July 6) at noon, the forum's president Professor Nurunnabi Manik announced the program at a press conference held in front of the Islamic Bank Tower in Motijheel, the capital.
He said, none of the previously announced seven-point demands have been implemented yet. Therefore, if these demands are not met soon, stricter programs will be announced.
According to the announced program, a protest march will be held on July 9 from the Islamic Bank Tower to the National Press Club. Additionally, on July 14, a customer sit-in program will be held in front of the main branch of Islamic Bank in every district city of the country.
Professor Nurunnabi Manik said, if the full board of directors of Islamic Bank is not announced even after these programs, then a national grand rally will be held on July 18 in front of the National Museum in Shahbagh, the capital, with the participation of customers. Customers from different regions of the country will take part in it.
Calling upon Bangladesh Bank and the relevant authorities to take effective steps quickly, he said their main goal is to establish good governance in Islamic Bank, ensure stability, and restore customer confidence.
Present at the press conference were Islamic Bank Conscious Customers Forum's vice president A. F. M. Yusuf, Advocate Abdul Bari, and customers from various levels of Dhaka metropolis.
