4 arrested with arms and ammunition in RAB raid in Pabna

They were arrested around 4am on Monday (July 6) during a raid in the Char Rupapur area of the upazila.

Those arrested are—Supto Islam Jibon (26) and Chanchal Islam Nirob (26) of the new Rupapur Dakshinpara village in Ishwardi upazila, and Badhon Islam (23) and Shakil Hossain (30) of the Char Rupapur BBC Bazar area.

Lieutenant Commander BN Wahiduzzaman, company commander of RAB-12 Pabna camp, said the four were arrested in an operation based on secret information. Later, a foreign pistol, five rounds of ammunition, three magazines, five magazine slides, five barrels, three switch gear knives, a hand press blade, an electric shocker, nine mobile phones, 11 SIM cards, 100 airgun cartridges, and two motorcycles were seized from them.

RAB said the four arrestees have been handed over to Ishwardi police station for legal action. After filing a case against them, the process of sending them to jail through court is underway.
