After a six-day break, the National Parliament is sitting again today
After a continuous six-day break, the proceedings of the current session of the National Parliament will resume this afternoon (Tuesday). The session meeting is scheduled to be held at 3:00 PM under the chairmanship of Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmed.

According to the scheduled agenda of the Parliament Secretariat, today's meeting will include a question-and-answer session for five ministries and one constitutional institution. The ministries in question are: the Ministry of Water Resources, the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, the Ministry of Public Administration, the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock, and the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) Secretariat.

Additionally, discussions are scheduled to be held on two urgent notices of public interest under Rule 71 of the Rules of Procedure.

Earlier, on June 30, after the passage of the national budget for the fiscal year 2026-27, the parliament session was adjourned. During the current session, along with the budget, several important laws including the Money Bill have also been passed.

Throughout the budget session, members of parliament from both the ruling party and the opposition participated in discussions on various important national issues including the economy, inflation, employment, elections, and law and order.
