The inauguration of this training program was held on Monday (July 6) at the BRAC Learning Center in the Gachpara area of Pabna Sadar Upazila.
Jamuna Bank PLC organized this training under the 'Skills Development Program for Industrial Competitiveness and Innovation' under the Finance Division of the Ministry of Finance, funded by ADB, and under the supervision of the Small, Cottage, Medium and Special Program Department of Bangladesh Bank.
The program was presided over by Jamuna Bank's Deputy Managing Director Nur Mohammad, and the chief guest who inaugurated the training program was Professor Dr. Md. Amirul Islam from the Department of Business Administration at Pabna University of Science and Technology.
Special guests present included Md. Ayub Ali, Joint Director and Deputy Project Director of the Small, Cottage, Medium and Special Program Department of Bangladesh Bank; Fazlul Haque, Regional Head of Jamuna Bank's Rajshahi region; and N H M Nusrat, head of the bank's Small and Medium Enterprise (Marketing) Department.
The speakers said that through this program, new and existing entrepreneurs will be provided with necessary training and financing facilities to enhance their business skills and capabilities. At the same time, this initiative will play an important role in ensuring the financial inclusion of small and medium entrepreneurs by bringing them under banking services and building sustainable businesses.
Senior officials from Bangladesh Bank and Jamuna Bank, as well as various potential entrepreneurs from the district, participated in the event.
