Egypt approaches FIFA seeking investigation into Argentina match refereeing
After the round of 16 match, Egypt's head coach Hossam Hassan also expressed strong dissatisfaction with the refereeing in a press conference. He alleged that the match result seemed predetermined and that there was pressure on the referee from Argentina's side.
At the center of Egypt's objections are two decisions. First, a goal by Egypt was disallowed due to a previous foul after a VAR review. Second, although there were allegations of a foul before Argentina's winning third goal, it was not reviewed by VAR.

The Egyptian Football Association claims that these decisions significantly impacted the match result. Therefore, they have called for an investigation into the entire refereeing process and for necessary measures to be taken.
However, no official comment or decision has been announced by FIFA on this matter so far.
