Before the tournament began, Opta's supercomputer saw Spain as the main title contender, but that prediction has changed significantly in the knockout stage. In the latest analysis, France now tops the race for the title.

According to Opta's calculations, France has a 73.9% chance of reaching the semi-finals, a 44.3% chance of playing in the final, and a 27.3% chance of winning the World Cup.

Spain is in second place. The team has a 69.7% chance of reaching the semi-finals, a 36.4% chance of the final, and a 21.3% chance of winning the title.

Current world champions Argentina have surprisingly risen to third place. Despite tough battles against Cape Verde and Egypt, their chances have increased. According to Opta, Argentina has a 69.1% chance of reaching the semi-finals, a 36.4% chance of reaching the final, and a 17.3% chance of winning the title.

England is in fourth place. They have a 62.4% chance of reaching the semi-finals, a 35% chance of the final, and a 16.5% chance of winning the World Cup.

On the other hand, Opta's supercomputer considers the title-winning chances of Norway, Switzerland, Morocco, and Belgium to be relatively low.
