He made these remarks at the inaugural ceremony of World Environment Day and Environment Fair-2026 and National Tree Plantation Campaign and Tree Fair-2026 at the China Friendship International Conference Center in the capital on Thursday.
In his speech, the Prime Minister quoted a part of verse 29 of Surah Al-Baqarah of the Holy Quran and said, “He is the One who created everything on earth for you.”
Explaining the verse, he said that Allah has created all elements of the environment, including rivers, canals, plants, insects, wild and domestic animals, for the welfare of mankind.
The Prime Minister said, “To enjoy the benefits of Allah's creation, we as humans also have responsibilities. Taking proper care and maintenance of nature, the environment, and biodiversity is the duty of human society.”
He further said that modern science has also proven that the relationship between human society and the ecosystem is very deep and inseparable. Therefore, ensuring the safe conservation and sustainable development of the environment is essential for the safe future of humanity.
