As part of the program jointly organized by the District Administration and the Department of Environment, Pabna, a colorful rally was brought out from the district magistrate's office premises on Thursday morning. After the rally, guests inaugurated the day by releasing balloons.

World Environment Day celebrated in Pabna with various programs
Later, in a discussion meeting chaired by Additional District Magistrate (General) Moniruzzaman, welcome speech was given by Assistant Director of the Department of Environment, Pabna, Yusuf Ali.
In his speech as the chief guest, District Magistrate Aminul Islam said that everyone must be aware to combat the adverse effects of climate change. He also called upon individuals, society, and the state to work collectively for environmental conservation.

He further said that to build a livable and safe future, emphasis must be placed on planting more trees, adopting an environmentally friendly lifestyle, and sustainable use of natural resources.
Representatives from various environmental organizations, political figures, government officials, and people from different walks of life participated in the discussion meeting.
At the end of the event, prizes were distributed among the winners of an environment-themed drawing competition organized at the school level. Later, the World Environment Day program concluded with tree planting in the district magistrate's office premises.
