Jamaat distributes relief items among flood victims in Rajnagar

The relief distribution program was organized on Saturday (July 11) at 10 am at the Rajnagar Darus Sunnah Fazil Madrasa premises in the upazila.

Ehsanul Mahbub Jubayer, Central Assistant Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, was present as the chief guest and handed over gift items to the flood-affected people.

The event was presided over by Rajnagar Upazila Jamaat Amir Abu Raiyan Shahin and moderated by Upazila Secretary Misbah Ul Hasan. Special guest Moulvibazar District Jamaat Amir Engineer Md. Shahed Ali spoke at the event.

Former district Amir Md. Abdul Mannan, District Secretary Md. Yamir Ali, Maulana Md. Aminul Islam, and District Assistant Secretary Md. Alauddin Shah also spoke at the time.

Present at the event were Upazila Nayeb-e-Amir M. A. Shahid, Sadar Union Amir Delwar Hossain Bablu, Overseas Responsible A. K. Russell, Maulana Khatibur Rahman, and various leaders and activists from upazila and union levels.

At the beginning of the event, Tengra Union Jamaat President Maulana Mahmudur Rahman delivered the welcome speech.

Members of the upazila shura and working committee, union-level officials, and leaders of the youth and student wings also participated in the relief distribution program.

The upazila Jamaat informed that the gift items distributed for flood-affected families included puffed rice, flattened rice, biscuits, sugar, onions, potatoes, soybean oil, candles, and gas lights.

Leaders of the organization said that their humanitarian activities will continue in the future to stand by the distressed people.
