He said these things on Monday (July 13) around 11 am while participating in a tree planting and canal re-excavation program in Gournadi, Barisal.
The Prime Minister said that to build a beautiful and livable country, along with extensive tree planting, proper care of the trees must also be ensured. He said, 'Just as parents feel joy when their children grow up, similarly, seeing one's own planted tree grow brings the same kind of satisfaction.'
He informed that the number of trees in the country is still less than the requirement. To meet this deficit, the government has planned to plant 25 crore trees across the country in the next five years.
