Storm and thunderstorm with 60 km/h winds forecast in 19 districts including Dhaka before noon

This information was given in a special warning issued for the country's inland river ports from 5 am to 1 pm on Monday (July 13).

The Meteorological Department said, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Jashore, Kushtia, Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet regions may experience gusty or squally winds from the south or southeast at speeds of 45 to 60 kilometers per hour. Rain or thunderstorms may also occur during this time.

In this situation, the river ports in the concerned areas have been asked to display cautionary signal number 1.

The Meteorological Department has advised those traveling in ships and waterways to move with caution. The organization has especially urged not to stay on the river unnecessarily during lightning and squally winds.
