Road blocked in Uttara demanding resignation of Education Minister, traffic halted

Eyewitnesses said that students took position on the main road in Uttara and started shouting various slogans. Within a short time, long traffic jams were created on both sides of the road.

Due to the blockade, hundreds of buses, minibuses, private cars, and various other vehicles were stuck. This caused extreme suffering for people going to work, other examinees, patients, and general passengers. Many were seen getting off vehicles and walking towards their destinations.

Additional police have been deployed at the scene to control the situation. Members of the law enforcement agency are trying to normalize traffic movement by negotiating with the students.

However, as of the latest news, the students have continued their sit-in program and have not withdrawn the road blockade. Due to the situation, severe traffic jams have been created on various roads in Uttara.
