On Wednesday (July 15) morning, a colorful rally was brought out from the Deputy Commissioner's office on this occasion. The rally paraded through the main streets of the city and ended at Bir Muktijoddha Rafiqul Islam Bakul Independence Square.
Later, Pabna Deputy Commissioner Aminul Islam inaugurated the tree fair by cutting a ribbon and releasing balloons. After the inauguration, he visited various stalls of the fair along with the guests and highlighted the importance of tree planting in protecting the environment and combating the adverse effects of climate change. At that time, saplings of various species were distributed among the children.
Organized jointly by the district administration and the Social Forestry Department, the fair features various stalls of fruit, forest, and medicinal plants. The organizers hope that this seven-day fair will increase awareness among the general public about tree planting, environmental conservation, and biodiversity protection.
