Push-in will not be accepted at the border under any circumstances: BGB

Sector Commander Colonel Mohammad Faisal Hasan Khan of the Dinajpur Sector Headquarters has warned that 'push-in' will not be accepted through the border under any circumstances. He said that the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) considers the push-in incident at the border as a major challenge with great importance.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of the free medical service and medicine distribution program organized by BGB at the Borogram Government Primary School ground on the Borogram border in Dinajpur Sadar Upazila on Saturday (July 18) morning.

The Sector Commander said that incidents like push-in from the neighboring country are unprecedented. BGB is on maximum alert to ensure border security and such incidents are not acceptable in any way.

He further said that as part of fulfilling humanitarian responsibilities, BGB is conducting regular health service activities for the border population. Besides, initiatives are being taken to create employment opportunities for the poor and unemployed youth through various types of training.

29 BGB Battalion informed that the free medical camp, which started at 9 am on Saturday, will continue until evening. Under this program, about 600 men, women and children from the border area will be provided free medical treatment and necessary medicines by specialist doctors.

Also present at the event were Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Arif-Uzzaman, Commander of Fulbari Battalion (29 BGB), Captain SM Mahdi Zaman, Acting Senior Medical Officer of Dinajpur Sector, Assistant Director Md. Mizanur Rahman, and Assistant Director Md. Abdullah-Al-Mamun, along with other BGB officials.
