Shafiul Islam Nirob, son of Selim Reza from Mahasthan village under Shibganj Upazila of Bogura, successfully cleared the admission test for the Department of Gender and Development Studies at Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur. However, severe financial insolvency left the talented student’s university enrollment in deep uncertainty.

When the matter was brought to the attention of State Minister Mir Shahe Alam MP, he promptly inquired about Nirob's situation and invited him for a meeting. On Saturday (July 25) afternoon, at the Shibganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer's (UNO) office, the State Minister personally handed over the full financial assistance required for Nirob's university admission. Furthermore, he pledged to bear all of Nirob's educational expenses moving forward.

Overwhelmed by the timely support, Nirob expressed his profound gratitude to the State Minister. He stated that this crucial assistance has smoothed the path to realizing his dream of higher education, adding that he aspires to devote his future to the welfare of the nation and society.
