She made this allegation in a post on her verified Facebook account on Thursday (July 30).
In the Facebook post, Mahmuda Mitu wrote, "On the way back from a program with the families of martyrs, BNP terrorists again carried out a brutal attack in Golapganj, Sylhet. I, Sarjis, and a few others were in the car."
She further wrote, "They are actually trying to kill us. They smashed the right and rear windows of our car into pieces. The police stood there unmoved. Tarique Rahman cannot be held accountable, as that would allegedly be disrespectful."
Along with the post, she also published two photos. The photos show a car with its rear window shattered.
Earlier, on Tuesday (July 28), an attack was alleged on the convoy of NCP's chief coordinator Nasiruddin Patwari and chief organizer (Northern Region) Sarjis Alam in Hobiganj.
The NCP claims that on that evening, Chhatra Dal activists and leaders attacked in the Staff Quarter area of Hobiganj town. During the attack, Sarjis Alam took shelter in a nearby Sonali Bank branch and stayed there for about an hour.
However, no immediate comment was available from the BNP regarding the latest incident in Golapganj. No official comment was also available from law enforcement agencies regarding the allegations.
