Sending new workers to Malaysia to start from last week of August, BOESEL to get priority: Mahdi Amin
Mahdi Amin, spokesperson of the Minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment and advisor to the Prime Minister, said that sending new workers from Bangladesh to Malaysia will start from the last week of next August.

He informed this during an exchange of views with journalists at the Bangladesh High Commission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on Thursday (July 30).

Mahdi Amin, in the presence of the Minister of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Ariful Haque Chowdhury who is on a visit to Malaysia, said that the government is considering giving priority to the Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training (BOESEL) in sending new workers. If this initiative is implemented, sending workers will start from the last week of August.

He said that positive and fruitful discussions have been held at the high level between Bangladesh and Malaysia to reopen the long-closed Malaysian labor market. As a result, the path has been paved to expedite the process of sending workers.

Mahdi Amin further said that the government is committed to making the labor market syndicate-free, transparent and accountable. Necessary steps are being taken so that ordinary workers can get employment opportunities in Malaysia at low cost, safely and legally.

He expressed hope that through the combined efforts of the two countries, new opportunities will be created for Bangladeshi workers in the Malaysian labor market and overseas employment will be further expanded.
