He made this call in his speech as the chief guest at the inaugural ceremony of "Digital Inclusion for Marginalized Communities – Phase II" organized by Grameenphone at Sheraton Dhaka in Banani on Thursday (July 30).

Call drop, network quality and package prices: Posts and Telecommunications Minister urges Grameenphone to address customer concerns
The minister said the benefits of digital technology must reach every citizen of the country. Women, youth, persons with disabilities, transgender people, and other marginalized communities must be ensured to be equally part of the digital transformation and enjoy its benefits.
He said the government, led by Prime Minister Tarek Rahman, is working to expand digital connectivity in the country. Emphasis is being placed on meaningful digital inclusion, digital literacy, and building skilled human resources to elevate Bangladesh to a one trillion US dollar economy by 2034.

Uninterrupted communication services are crucial for inclusive development and improving people's quality of life.
Regarding customer service, he said there are concerns about call drops, network quality, and the price of mobile voice and data packages. Mobile operators must take more effective measures on these issues.
The minister said, "Just as business growth is important, equal importance must be given to the expectations and interests of customers. Ensuring affordable, uninterrupted, and quality services for customers should be the priority of service providers."
Later, he inaugurated Grameenphone's "Digital Inclusion for Marginalized Communities – Phase II" program.
The event was attended by Grameenphone's Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Yasir Azman, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Major General (Retd.) Md. Emdad ul Bari, senior government officials, private sector representatives, and representatives of development partner organizations.
