NCP doing 'fake settlement' politics in name of new settlement: Rashed Khan

He said these things in response to questions from journalists after an exchange meeting with officials of various government departments of the district at the Deputy Commissioner's meeting room on Thursday (30 July) morning.

Rashed Khan said, “NCP talks about the politics of new settlement in Bangladesh but has started the politics of new 'fake settlement'. I would urge NCP to do constructive politics.”

He further alleged, “NCP's politics is now being conducted under the advice of Jamaat.”

Referring to the recent incident in Sylhet, the Prime Minister's Assistant said he believes that the incident occurred due to objectionable comments by NCP leaders about a popular Member of Parliament.

He said, “Just because they had a role in the mass uprising does not mean all their crimes are forgiven.” At this time, he called upon the NCP leaders to practice healthy politics. He also warned that otherwise “a fitting response will be given.”

Officials from various government departments of the district were present at the exchange meeting.
