The decision was taken at a recent meeting of the alliance. The meeting was presided over by the alliance's coordinator and Assistant Secretary General of Jamaat-e-Islami, Hamidur Rahman Azad. Top leaders of various parties in the alliance participated in it.

Addressing a press briefing after the meeting, Hamidur Rahman Azad said that top leaders of the 11-party alliance will speak at the rally to be held at Paltan in the capital at 3:30 pm on August 5. He also called upon the countrymen to make the program of the second anniversary of the Bloody July uprising successful.

He said, detailed discussion was held in the meeting about the existing political situation of the country and the ongoing and future movement programs. The final action plan on these issues will be determined in the meeting on August 3.

In the press briefing, Hamidur Rahman Azad condemned the attack on NCP leaders at the ‘July March-2026’ program in Habiganj and demanded speedy arrest and trial of those involved.

He said, if there are differences of opinion, the political answer must be given politically. Trying to resist political programs in a terrorist manner is a repetition of the past fascist behavior.

Criticizing the government, he alleged that the present government has failed to fulfill people's expectations, run the state, protect democratic rights, and control law and order situation. He also claimed that BNP, Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal leaders and activists were involved in the attacks in Sylhet and they should be brought to justice quickly.

Present at the meeting and press briefing were LDP acting secretary general Md. Billal Hossain Miazee, JAGPA vice-president and spokesperson Engineer Rashed Pradhan, Bangladesh Labour Party chairman Dr. Mustafizur Rahman Iran, Bangladesh Khilafat Majlis joint secretary general Ataullah Ameen, NCP joint convener Ariful Islam Adib, and leaders of various parties of the alliance.
