Dr. Kamruzzaman new DG of July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum

The information was provided in a notification issued from the Deputation-1 branch of the Ministry of Public Administration last Wednesday (July 29).

Until recently, Tanjim Wahab, Director General of the National Museum, was serving as the Director General of the July Memorial Museum. 

According to the notification, Joint Secretary Dr. Mohammad Kamruzzaman, serving as Special Duty Officer (due to promotion) in the Ministry of Public Administration, has been transferred and appointed on deputation as Director General of the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum under the Ministry of Cultural Affairs.

It is to be noted that the government established the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum to preserve the memory of the July 2024 mass uprising and to present the history and significance of that movement to the new generation.

Those concerned hope that the museum's activities will become more dynamic under the leadership of the new Director General.
