According to the government holiday calendar, there will be a general holiday across the country on August 5 (Wednesday) on the occasion of 'July Mass Uprising Day'. If anyone takes casual leave on the following day, August 6 (Thursday), then combined with the weekly holidays on August 7 and 8 (Friday and Saturday), a four-day break can be enjoyed.

Similarly, there is the possibility of a long holiday in the last week of the month too. A general holiday has been scheduled on August 26 (Wednesday) on the occasion of the holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi (SAW). However, the date of this holiday depends on sighting of the moon. Then, if one takes casual or optional leave on August 27 (Thursday), combined with the weekly holidays on August 28 and 29, they will again get four consecutive days of holiday.
On the occasion of Eid-e-Miladunnabi (SAW), general holiday remains effective in government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions. Besides, many private institutions also declare holiday on this occasion. However, this holiday opportunity will not apply to institutions and employees involved in emergency services.
