Rain likely in various parts of country over next four days; heavy showers possible in places
On Monday (August 3), rain is likely in many places in Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Khulna divisions and in some places in Dhaka, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions. There may be moderately heavy rainfall in some parts of the country. The forecast said day temperature may decrease slightly on this day.
On Tuesday (August 4), rain or thundershowers may occur at many places in all eight divisions of the country. At the same time, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall in several areas. Day and night temperatures may also decrease slightly on this day.

On Wednesday (August 5), rainfall may continue in most areas of Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and in many places in Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions. Heavy rainfall is likely in some places, especially in the northern and north-eastern regions.
The Meteorological Department said that due to the well-marked low pressure area over Rajasthan and adjoining areas of India and the active monsoon, this rainfall trend will persist over the country. However, the intensity of rain may gradually decrease towards the end of the week.
