Prime Minister inaugurates July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has inaugurated the 'July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum' with the aim of preserving the memory of the July Mass Uprising and presenting the history of the movement to future generations.

He officially inaugurated the museum at an event held in the capital on Wednesday (August 5). Nobel laureate economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus was present with him on the occasion.

During the inauguration, the Prime Minister said the July Mass Uprising is an important chapter in the country's democracy, rights and people's aspirations. This museum will not only be a place to preserve history, but will also serve as a center for education, inspiration, and practice of democratic values for future generations.

He said the sacrifices of the martyrs, the struggles of the wounded, and the participation of ordinary people in the mass uprising will remain eternally memorable in the nation's history. By preserving these memories, the coming generations will gain an accurate understanding of the country's history.

Later, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Dr. Muhammad Yunus visited various galleries of the museum. During this time, they looked around the preserved photographs, documents, video footage, and various memorabilia related to the movement.

Cabinet members, senior government officials, family members of martyrs of the July Mass Uprising, injured individuals, students, prominent citizens, and representatives from various classes and professions were present at the event.
