He made these comments on Wednesday (August 5) at a photo exhibition jointly organized by Gallery Hamiduzzaman and the Bangladesh Photo Journalists Association in Gulshan, Dhaka.
Referring to the recent statement of India's Ministry of External Affairs, Rizvi said that in the past, when BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's lawyer wanted to hold a press conference from India, it was not allowed. But now India's position on Sheikh Hasina is different.
He said such a position is an example of India's 'double standard'.
Referring to Sheikh Hasina's audio message and her political activities from India, Rizvi said that if India is truly a democratic state, then it should have an answer to the question of how a fugitive accused from another country is being allowed to speak at events there.
Rizvi alleged that during Sheikh Hasina's government, it carried out repression against students, the masses, journalists and people of various classes and professions. In his words, the July mass uprising was born out of public anger against that situation.
He further claimed that Sheikh Hasina never had true patriotism. At the same time, he alleged that India is behaving leniently toward accused individuals of other countries due to political considerations.
