He made these remarks while presiding over the inauguration ceremony of the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum in the capital on Wednesday (August 5).
The Cultural Minister said, "No sacrifice, no struggle ever goes in vain. History never lies. The July Mass Uprising is a shining proof of that."
He said that the July Mass Uprising was the culmination of a nearly two-decade-long democratic movement against autocracy and fascism. The sacrifices of the martyrs and the injured in this movement will remain unforgettable in the nation's history.

Highlighting the significance of the July Mass Uprising, Nitai Roy Chowdhury said that this movement demonstrated how a state, in the name of democracy, can weaken its constitutional and democratic institutions and carry out oppression and suppression against its people.
He informed that the July Mass Uprising Memorial Museum has been established with the aim of preserving and presenting that history to future generations. Although the museum's activities began during the interim government, it was later formalized through the completion of necessary legal procedures.
The Minister further said that the museum will be developed as an important research center, so that the new generation can learn in depth about the spirit of the July Mass Uprising, the aspirations of the people, and the dream of establishing a democratic state.
He said, "From July 15 to August 5—in just 20 days of movement—the fascist regime collapsed like a house of cards. The July Mass Uprising is the very name of that historic transformation."
