He made these remarks as the chief guest at an international summit on diabetes prevention held at a hotel in the capital on Thursday (August 6) morning.

The State Minister for Health said that the government is working tirelessly to deliver healthcare services to the doorsteps of people in the remotest areas of the country. He noted that to achieve this goal, the active participation of health experts, researchers, development partners, and religious leaders is essential.

He said that in preventing non-communicable diseases like diabetes, not only treatment but also raising public awareness and promoting a healthy lifestyle are important.

Dr. M. A. Muhit further said that if positive changes in lifestyle can be brought about through collective efforts, the prevalence of various non-communicable diseases, including diabetes, can be significantly reduced.

He emphasized strengthening preventive measures to combat health risks as well as increasing public awareness.
