Foreign Ministry's Protest Reflects a Sovereign Bangladesh: Mahdi Amin
Prime Minister's Adviser for Education and Primary and Mass Education, Mahdi Amin, has said that the strong protest lodged by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the incident of allowing fugitive convicted former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to speak in Delhi is the true reflection of a sovereign and dignified Bangladesh.

He made this remark in a post on his verified Facebook page on Thursday (August 6).

Mahdi Amin said that one of the key aspirations of the July Mass Uprising was to establish an independent, sovereign, and democratic Bangladesh—a state system where there would be no room for subservient foreign policy, and where equality, fair treatment, and national interest would be given the highest priority in bilateral and multilateral relations.

He further said that the new state vision has been developed with the goal of establishing Bangladesh as a self-respecting nation on the world map.

In his Facebook post, Mahdi Amin noted that the strong expression of outrage by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the incident of allowing the fugitive convicted leader to speak in Delhi is a reflection of a sovereign and dignified Bangladesh.

He claimed that by upholding the sovereign political legacy of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, and by advancing the Prime Minister's policy of "Bangladesh First," the country is moving forward as a self-reliant, prosperous, and internationally respected state.
