Election Commission Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed announced the schedule on Thursday (August 6) afternoon.
He said, according to the schedule, nomination papers can be submitted at the office of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC)/election conducting officer from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on August 13.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held from 10:00 am on August 16. After that, candidates will have the opportunity to withdraw their candidature until 4:00 pm on August 18.
According to the schedule, voting will be held in the session hall of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban (National Parliament House) from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on August 20.
The EC senior secretary further said that the voter list for the presidential election has already been finalized. After the announcement of the schedule, necessary administrative and other preparations are being taken to complete the election in a fair, peaceful and impartial manner.
