He said these things as the chief guest at a meeting held today (Thursday) at the meeting room of the Ministry of Public Administration in Bangladesh Secretariat to review the progress of implementation of the 180-day action plan prepared according to the government's election manifesto.

The Adviser said, in implementing the current government's election manifesto, the Ministry of Public Administration is working towards building a merit-based public administration, recruiting five lakh government employees through a transparent and fast process, and establishing an accountable and people-friendly administration.
He informed that an initiative has been taken to complete the pension applications and administrative approvals of government officials under the Ministry of Public Administration entirely online. As part of this, under a pilot project, the formal launch of the process has been made through online administrative approval of the pension of one retired Additional Secretary from the Ministry of Public Administration.

The Adviser further said, instructions have been given to take measures to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in online transfer and posting activities in the Government Employee Management System (GEMS). As a result, administrative activities will be more transparent, fast and efficient.
The Adviser instructed to complete the work quickly to achieve the 100% target of recruitment to vacant posts under the 180-day action plan prepared according to the government's election manifesto.
The meeting, chaired by Senior Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration Md. Ehshanul Haque, was attended by the heads of departments and agencies under the ministry, senior officials of the ministry, and divisional commissioners online.
