Gold price cut again, reduced by Tk 3,266 per bhori

Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has reduced gold prices in the country's market within one day. The organization said the price of gold has been reduced by Tk 3,266 per bhori.

On Friday (August 7) morning, BAJUS confirmed this information through a notice. The new price will be effective from 10 am.

BAJUS said this decision was taken at the local level due to the decrease in the price of pure gold in the international market. The new price has been fixed including VAT considering the overall market situation.

According to the new rates—

22-carat (per bhori 11.664 grams): Tk 2,29,664
21-carat: Tk 2,19,342
18-carat: Tk 1,88,374
Traditional method (old-style gold): Tk 1,53,148

BAJUS further said this price will remain effective including all types of VAT.
