On Wednesday (August 6), a notification was issued from the Ministry of Public Administration. Deputy Secretary Md. Golam Rabbani signed the notification on the order of the President.

The notification stated that Kazi Zeasin has been appointed under Section 11(1) of the Bangladesh Television Authority Act, 2001. The condition of this appointment is— he will completely sever his employment relationship with any other profession, business or any government, semi-government or private institution.

He will serve as the Director General of BTV for the next one year from the date of joining. The Ministry of Public Administration said that other appointment-related terms and conditions will be determined later through a contract paper.

The notification also said that this order has been issued in the public interest.
