Correct Aqeedah must be spread in society: Muhtamim of Deoband
Hazrat Maulana Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani (may Allah preserve him), the Muhtamim of India's Darul Uloom Deoband, has said that one of the fundamental bases of Islamic creed is that Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) is Allah's final Prophet and Messenger. In light of the clear declarations of the Holy Quran and Sahih Sunnah, whoever denies the final prophethood of Rasul Karim (peace be upon him) or believes someone else to be a prophet deviates from the fundamental creed of Islam.

He said these things in the chief guest's speech at the Khatme Nabuwwat conference held at Aftabnagar Madrasa in the capital on Friday (7 August).

He further said that in the present time, the Muslim Ummah must work unitedly to preserve Iman-Aqeedah in the light of the pure teachings of the Quran-Sunnah and the manhaj of the Akabir of Deoband. To counter the propaganda of all false doctrines and misleading ideologies including Qadianism, the correct Aqeedah must be spread in society through knowledge, dawah, wisdom and logical presentation.

The conference was held under the chairmanship of Mufti Mohammad Ali, Naib-e-Amir of the Khatme Nabuwwat Protection Committee and Muhtamim of Aftabnagar Madrasa, and was moderated by Maulana Faisal Omar Faruk. Among others, Maulana Hasan Mahmud Rajshani, member of the Shura of Deoband Madrasa; Maulana Shayekh Sajidur Rahman, Secretary General of Hefazat-e-Islam Bangladesh; Maulana Shabbir Ahmad Rashid, Principal of Kishoreganj Jamia Emdadia; Maulana Dr. Zahirul Islam; Mufti Lutfur Rahman Farayezee; Maulana Ubaydullah Qasemi, Senior Joint Secretary General of the Khatme Nabuwwat Protection Committee; Maulana Shuayb Ibrahim; Mufti Abdul Majeed; Mufti Abu Zar; Maulana Ilyas Qasemi and Mufti Imranul Bari Siraji also spoke.

Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani said that the Akabir of Deoband have always tried to keep the Muslim Ummah united on the basis of the Quran, Sunnah and the creed of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaat. In continuation of that, even today, protecting the Iman-Aqeedah of Muslims, preserving the fundamental beliefs of the religion and creating awareness about misleading ideologies is an important demand of the time.

He called upon scholars of all levels, students and common Muslims and said that remaining steadfast on pure Islamic creed and ideology, one must devote oneself to following the Quran-Sunnah and building individuals, families and society according to the manhaj of the Akabir of Deoband.
