Prime Minister: Let's build a beautiful Bangladesh with everyone's collective efforts
Prime Minister Tareq Rahman has expressed his determination to build a beautiful and developed Bangladesh through everyone's collective efforts. He said the main goal of the sacrifices of the country's people at various times, including the July mass uprising, was to establish a developed Bangladesh where people could live better.

He made these remarks on Saturday at the Prime Minister's office in Tejgaon during an event to hand over appointment letters to family members of those martyred and seriously injured in the July 2024 mass uprising. Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Hasan Shiplu confirmed the matter.

The Prime Minister said, ‘Some of you directly took part in the July movement, and some of your loved ones took part. Because of your or your loved ones' sacrifices, the people of Bangladesh can live in a free environment today.’

He highlighted the sacrifices of the country's people at various times, from the Liberation War in 1971 to the July movement in 2024, and said the main goal of these sacrifices was to build a developed Bangladesh. Behind the sacrifices of all those we have lost, those who were physically injured or affected, was the desire to make Bangladesh better.

The Prime Minister also mentioned various limitations of the state and government, saying that even with these, the country must be moved forward based on reality. He said, ‘What we got is not the main thing; rather, what we could give to the country is important. If we can move forward gradually with this goal in mind, it will be possible to build the expected Bangladesh in the days ahead.’

The Prime Minister said efforts to properly evaluate the sacrifices of the martyred and injured in the July movement will continue, and expressed hope that a beautiful and developed Bangladesh can be built through everyone's collective efforts.
