Army Chief visits South Sudan and Abyei peacekeeping mission areas

During the visit, the Army Chief will visit Bangladeshi contingents deployed in United Nations peacekeeping missions in South Sudan and Abyei. During this time, he will exchange views with Bangladeshi military personnel engaged in peacekeeping operations and inquire about their activities.

In addition, during the visit, the Army Chief will hold courtesy meetings and exchange views with authorities related to the state and UN peacekeeping missions in South Sudan and Abyei.

Those concerned believe that the visit is important in making Bangladesh's participation in UN peacekeeping operations more effective and in reviewing the activities of Bangladeshi contingents deployed in the missions.
