He said these things while visiting Haimchar Upazila Health Complex in Chandpur on Sunday (August 9) morning. Expressing anger at the mismanagement and the state of health services at the hospital, he ordered the district Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Nur Alam Deen to be given a stand release.
The health minister said that during the previous fascist government, no importance was given to the health sector, resulting in a fragile situation in this sector now. He alleged that during that time, government money was embezzled by purchasing medical equipment at excessive prices.
During the visit, the minister expressed dissatisfaction with the hospital management and gave necessary instructions to those concerned. At that time, Member of Parliament for Chandpur-3 constituency Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik was present.
