At the meeting, Hefazat-e-Islam presented a 9-point demand to the Prime Minister. The demands include — enacting a law providing the highest punishment to prevent disrespect to Almighty Allah, the Prophet (PBUH), the Holy Quran and the religion of Islam; not making any law contrary to the Quran and Sunnah; trial of those involved in the massacre at Shapla Chattar on May 5, 2013; trial of the anti-Modi movement of 2021 and the killings of July-August 2024; recognition of Dawra-e-Hadith of Qawmi madrasas as equivalent to a Master's degree; making Islamic religious education compulsory for Muslim students from primary to higher secondary level; declaring the Qadiani community as non-Muslim and banning Hizb ut-Tawhid; stopping the nefarious activities of missionaries in the Chittagong Hill Tracts; withdrawing the false cases filed against scholars during the Awami fascist government; and keeping the activities of Tabligh Jamaat under the supervision of the Ulema, as well as maintaining the ban on India's Maulana Saad's entry into Bangladesh.

Hefazat-e-Islam presents 9-point demands to Prime Minister
The meeting was attended by Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed, State Minister for Land and Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs Mir Mohammad Helal, local Member of Parliament Sarwar Alamgir, and Hefazat-e-Islam's Secretary General Sajidur Rahman.
In the congratulatory letter given by Hefazat, the Prime Minister's visit to Fatikchhari was described as "a unique symbol of the bond between faith and state." It also recalled the role of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman in incorporating "Bismillah" and full trust in Allah into the constitution, and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia's sympathy towards the scholar community.
