Malai Chop and Chhanar Jilapi Are Heavenly: US Ambassador

In the embassy post, Ambassador Brent Christensen said, 'The roshogolla, malai chop, and chhanar jilapi from the traditional Sokal Sondha Mistanno Bhandar—sheer joy!' He asked Bangladeshis: Which is your favorite sweet—roshogolla, malai chop, or chhanar jilapi?

Earlier on Sunday (August 9), he visited the floating guava market in Bhimruli village of Jhalakathi and spoke with guava farmers. There too, he posted pictures of traveling by boat along the waterways and wrote, 'Visiting a beautiful land of waterways by boat. Feels great to be in Barishal!'
