Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has expressed deep shock at the tragic deaths of 16 Bangladeshi nationals in a fire at a factory in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia. In a condolence message on Monday (August 10), he expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved families and assured them of all necessary assistance.
Prime Minister's Press Secretary Saleh Shibli said the Prime Minister is continuously monitoring the situation. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment, and the Bangladesh Mission in Riyadh have been instructed to bring back the bodies of the deceased through coordinated efforts.

The Prime Minister has directed the concerned ministries to take coordinated steps to bring back the bodies as soon as possible, and all kinds of cooperation will be provided from the Prime Minister's Office in this regard.

It is to be noted that yesterday, on Sunday, 16 Bangladeshis lost their lives in a terrible fire at a sofa manufacturing factory in Riyadh.
