Students will be able to visit the July Museum for free one day a week

He made the announcement at the weekly press briefing of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting at the Secretariat on Tuesday morning (11 August). He said, 'School students will be able to enter the July Memorial Museum free of charge one day a week. Gradually, free entry will also be arranged at the National Museum and other museums.'

Saying there had been various rumors regarding the inauguration, Dr. Zahed Ur Rahman said, 'The museum has been launched proving those remarks wrong. However, after the inauguration, there were some difficulties in management due to excessive pressure from visitors. Those problems have now been resolved.'

He further said, 'The general public's interest in the July Memorial Museum is extraordinary. As a result, a huge number of people thronged after the inauguration, creating administrative pressure. Now the management has been largely organized.'

The information adviser said that this initiative aims to present the history of the July mass uprising, the sacrifice of the common people, and its political-social significance to the new generation. Regular museum visits for students will be arranged under government patronage.
