Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has again increased gold prices in the domestic market. Yesterday (Tuesday) it was increased by Tk 1,108 per bhori, effective from 10am.
According to the new price, with VAT, the price of one bhori (11.664 grams) of 22-carat gold stands at Tk 2,35,146.

Bajus said this price adjustment has been made considering the overall situation as the price of raw gold (pure gold) increased in the local market. This price will remain effective in all jewellery establishments until further instructions are issued.
Notably, earlier on August 8, the price of 22-carat gold was set at Tk 2,34,038 by increasing Tk 4,374 per bhori.
