Power, Energy and Mineral Resources State Minister Anindya Islam Amit has said the country's electricity situation will improve somewhat from this evening. He said load shedding will also decrease by evening. However, it is not possible to specify right now when the energy crisis will be fully resolved.
He said these things in response to journalists' questions at the Secretariat today Wednesday.

The state minister said gas supply from one floating LNG terminal has remained suspended due to rough seas in the Bay of Bengal. Another terminal also cannot be operated at full capacity due to an accident. This has created an energy crisis in the country, which is disrupting electricity generation and increasing load shedding.

He said no one has control over natural disasters, but the government is making utmost efforts to tackle the situation through alternative means.
