He said these things in response to journalists' questions at the Secretariat today Wednesday.

The state minister said gas supply from one floating LNG terminal has remained suspended due to rough seas in the Bay of Bengal. Another terminal also cannot be operated at full capacity due to an accident. This has created an energy crisis in the country, which is disrupting electricity generation and increasing load shedding.

He said no one has control over natural disasters, but the government is making utmost efforts to tackle the situation through alternative means.
