Youth and Sports State Minister Md. Aminul Haque presided over the discussion meeting. Information and Broadcasting State Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan, MP, was present as the chief guest. Youth and Sports Secretary Md. Mahbub-ul-Alam and Foreign Secretary Asad Alam Siam spoke. Joint Secretary Dr. S M Zobayed Hossain presented the keynote paper.

In his presidential speech, State Minister Aminul Haque said that to keep pace with the rapidly changing world, training for youths is being strengthened in digital skills, ICT, freelancing, caregiving and entrepreneurship. With this aim, youth centers are being established in every district. He said youths are being trained in 83 trades to make them economically self-reliant. Through the 'ERN' project, an initiative has been taken for employment and freelancing training of 900,000 youths. Plans to provide interest-free loans of up to Tk 10 lakh for creating entrepreneurs and to distribute laptops as loans are also being implemented.

He further said that to spread sports practice at the grassroots, 'Notun Kuri Sports' Season-1 has been successfully completed, in which 168,648 young men and women participated. Work is underway to establish playgrounds in every union and town and to establish sports institutions in districts.

Chief guest Zahir Uddin Swapan said the rapid development of technology has created a new ecosystem, which is both a blessing and a challenge for civilization. Calling artificial intelligence (AI) a new reality, he said youths have a greater ability to adopt new technologies, so giving them the necessary knowledge, skills and mental preparation is an important responsibility of the state to face the challenges of an AI-dependent future. He said the depth of change is so great that tomorrow's situation is difficult to predict. Therefore, he emphasized creating opportunities to acquire new knowledge and skills alongside conventional education.
